Understand the certification

All our helmets and visors have been certified by Bureau of Standards, Metrology and Inspection, M.O.E.A. Every certified helmet has either of the stickers (See Fig.1)

Helmet structure & Wearing instruction

The EPS liner inside the shell of the helmet acts as a cushion which absorbs most of the impact energy and compressively deforms to cancel most of the impact force on the head . The chin strap is used to hold the helmet firmly on the head. Therefore it is important to choose the right size and wear the helmet properly to prevent the helmet from swaying. (See Fig.2)

The chin strap

To buckle up: click A to B (See Fig.3) until you hear a "click" sound (Once buckled up, the appropriate tightness should allow around a finger's width) To unbuckle: Press down on the red area. (See fig.3)

Expiry date of a helmet

A helmet's expiry date is 3 years from the date of purchase. If the helmet is worn daily, it is recommended that the helmet should not be worn for more than 2 years. This is because of the helmet is constantly being exposed to the sun light and rain, this would have changed the structure of the helmet (especially the shell & EPS liner).
Please also bear in mind that when there's a fall that resulted an impact on the helmet, even if there is no obvious damage(or crack) to it, the structure of the helmet would have changed and is unable to provide 100% protection to your head. Therefore it is strongly recommended that the helmet should be disposed.

Cleaning of the helmet

To clean the surface: Wipe the shell with a wet cloth and liquid wax can be applied to give the shell more polish.
To clean the comfort liner: If the comfort liner can be removed, then it should be removed regularly to be washed.
If the comfort liner cannot be removed, then it can be cleaned by the wet cloth with some soap water. Then leave the comfort liner under the sun to dry off. (Note: not to be directly exposed to the sun light for too long)

Cleaning of the helmet visor

Use water or the mildest possible cleaning detergents (for glasses) to clean the visor to maintain visibility. If these methods could not clean the visor properly, then it is strongly recommended that the visor should be replaced.

Lift the visor to the top point, then unscrew the screw with a coin or screw driver (See fig.4) then remove the screws and covers on both sides and then the visor can be removed. To fit the visor back, reverse the steps. (See also fig.4)

To remove/fit a visor (CA003, CA007, CA011,CA201, CA302, CA330 & CA503)

To remove a removable comfort liner

STEP 1. Remove the triangular padding on both sides. STEP 2. Detach the padding by pulling the chin strap.

STEP 3. Detach the padding by pulling the padding out from the chin strap. STEP 4. Remove any strap cover for the padding to be detached.

Correct handling & care

  1. Not one single helmet can fully protect the head from any impact, but it is strongly recommended that you need to select the right size and type of helmet that fits you the most to maximize the protection.
  2. Choosing the right size by making sure the helmet does not sway around on your head, and adjust the chin strap to the correct length and fasten it. (The tightness should allow an extra finger inside)
In case of impact incidents, if the chin strap is not correctly fastened, the helmet may fall off or sway around and lose its protection over the head.
  3. When there's a fall that resulted an impact on the helmet, even if there is no obvious damage(or crack) to it, the structure of the helmet would have changed and is unable to provide 100% protection to your head. Therefore it is strongly recommended that the helmet should be disposed.
  4. Do not put any solvent or paint on the helmet as the plastics are very sensitive to solvents.
  5. If there are obvious scratches on the visor or dirt that cannot be cleaned, it is strongly recommended the visor needs to be replaced to prevent it from affecting the visibility.
